ABOUT AMBER LANE

 

I've always considered myself to be a creative person, be it designing jewelry, playing music, or getting my hands dirty in a garden, I've always had some sort of outlet. However, my passion has constantly been in photography ever since I was a little girl. I remember being 7 years old and posing my little brother with flowers and toys to take photos of him with a pink 110 film camera. In high school, I was always the one with a camera at sleepovers or during spirit week. I documented every family trip, summer camp, and small-town event I attended. When I was 19, I began to work as a studio assistant for local photographers. The knowledge I gained through them was invaluable for a young photographer starting out in the ultra-competitive professional realm.

Throughout my 20's, I began to shoot anything and anyone I could. I covered events big and small, from birthday parties to weddings. I worked for two local bars, shooting photos of musical acts, new years eve photobooths, and bar events like luaus and contests in exchange for food and drink. I shot engagements for friends, then weddings, then maternity photos, newborns and first birthdays, then family shots for holiday cards. My clients were from all walks of life and had many different projects and backgrounds, but they were all supportive and loyal as I grew in my artistic vision and honed my craft. We watched each other grow.

Now, in my early 30s, I've come to find my true voice and calling as a photographer of love, romance, and femininity. I've built a business based on trust and intimacy with my clients and it's very fulfilling for myself as well as my clients. I find that my strengths lie in my abilities to put my subjects at ease and capture true, raw emotion. What I provide is more than a selfie with an iPhone - it's bringing real love and personality to photos that you will treasure for a lifetime. I aim to provide an experience, not just a service.

The mission at Amber Lane Photo is to empower women and display femininity through the art form of photography. Allowing women of all ages to express themselves in a safe and welcoming environment, all while producing images of intimacy and beauty is my greatest aim. I provide the tools for our clients to feel uplifted and find ways to love themselves, just as they are, even long after our time together.
